A Trip to Shanghai, Inner Perception

A Trip to Shanghai, Heart's Perception

Although I can't witness the appearance of The Bund with my own eyes, I have always been longing for it. Today, accompanied by my friends, I finally set foot on this world-famous land. All along the way, I heard the hustle and bustle of the crowd, which was like a symphony composed of footsteps, laughter, and shouts. The surging crowds made me feel the prosperity and vitality of this place. My friends led me forward slowly. I reached out my hand and touched the cold stone railing along the street, gently sliding my fingers over it to feel its texture. Occasionally, words with exotic accents came to my ears. I knew they were tourists from afar. I silently imagined what they looked like in my heart, imagining the integration and collision of diverse cultures on this land. The gentle breeze blew across my face, carrying the moist air of the river. I took a deep breath and seemed to catch a faint fragrance of flowers floating from afar. From time to time, my friends told me some of the things they saw along the way. I listened attentively, trying to form a blurry picture in my mind. When I completed this round of walking, an indescribable sense of accomplishment spread in my heart. Although I couldn't see with my eyes, I truly appreciated the unique charm of The Bund. This trip was a precious memory, a comfort to my soul, and an unforgettable highlight in my life. After that, we went to Yu Garden. As soon as we stepped into Yu Garden, it was as if we had entered another world, with the noise shut out and tranquility surrounding us. My friends took me for a stroll on the winding paths. I brushed my hand against the bamboo beside the path, and the rustling of bamboo leaves sounded like they were whispering. The gurgling sound of flowing water came to my ears, clear and pleasant. My friends said it was the clear spring in the rockery flowing, and the spring water fell into the small pool, splashing little water flowers. Then we also went to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Here, it was full of a commercial atmosphere, with a dazzling array of various shops. I heard the music playing at the store entrances intertwined with the shouts of sales promotions. The crowds were flowing continuously, jostling each other. My friends described those beautiful window displays to me. Although I couldn't see them, I could feel the liveliness and vitality of this place, and my heart was full of novelty and joy.
